ジャカード織りのプレイヤーズマット(お祈りの際に床に敷くマット)を2枚つなぎ合わせてクッションを作成した。
ジャカード織りは、場所によって織り方を複雑に変えることで柄を表現する技法。表面の色や織りが裏面ではまた違った見え方で現れる。その特徴を生かし、裏面を利用してもう1色を作成した。

I was curious how the jacquard weave would look in person, and the way the orange shifts to a different pattern on the reverse side is really striking. It's a nice size for my meditation corner, plush enough to sit on for a while.
